Circular meat and body part images on mirror in the style of Damien Hirst
Mirrors cannot help but make people curious. Paying homage to Damien Hirst's Spot paintings I cut out circular discs of photographs of meat taken from the local supermarket and from a vintage 1980s porno mag. I chose the 80s as it was pro bush and less plastic. The discs were mixed up confusing the viewer as to whether they were looking at meat or human flesh, many uncannily similar. I wanted to recreate a peep show, drawing the viewer in to cheekily look, be disgusted and see their reaction in the mirror in a playful manner.
