Inspired by the Monkey egg in the credits of the 1970/80s Japanese television drama. The mucous emerging egg was mosaic like in structure. Having hatched many chicks as a child I knew all too well that the perfect egg when hatching is a mess of blood, excrement, veins and a very bedraggled chick. The egg is partially embellished with mirror mosaics, but half were sanded down to just glass so you could peer into the gestating egg.
