Disco ball with fragmented self portrait post panic attack
Three of us suffered a massive traumatic loss with many unanswered questions, represented as the three collusions on the ball. Our world had exploded. Bit by bit we rebuilt but it will never be the same again. Fascinated by selfie culture projecting perfection I took a selfie post panic attack, I fragmented this portrait into mosaic form and reapplied it to the disco ball, interspersing it with glass squares. Hung from a motor to catch the light, turning horrific experiences into a projection of radiance.
