Elongated mirror based on fairground cut out photo opportunities
Simple piece of 6'4" perspex mirror mounted onto a stand, designed to accommodate most human reflections. A hole was cut out at my face height. This interactive sculpture was replicating the cartoon hole photographic opportunities seen at fairgrounds and seaside piers. Whoever stands behind it and sticks their head through naturally wants their selfie taken, whoever takes the selfie automatically has their body transposed onto their head, thus it is impossible to be narcissistic with this mirror. If nobody sticks their head through, the selfie taker has their face blanked out.
