All that glitters is not gold. Dealing with all the beauty potions pushed upon us, how we love a new gimmick and will try anything that promises eternal youth without investigating its background or proof it works. If it looks good, it must be good? I collected dead iridescent bluebottles from my windowsill and applied them to my eyelids. They look beautiful and bejewelled from a distance but on closer inspection have horrific connotations with lack of hygiene and putrefaction.
