Self-portrait recurring dream involving ponytails

For a few years I had a recurring dream whereby hair is growing on the roof of my mouth, as I tug it, it rips away, taking the flesh of my mouth away with it. At the same time I felt I was being pulled in many unwanted directions so tried to replicate this dream in this photo. The meaning of the dream "it symbolises a weight that is holding you down and destroying your inner peace."
