Situationist college, taking imagery from Paris and Dubai
Paying homage to "Sous les pavés, la plage!" (Under the cobblestones, the beach!) was one of the situationist slogans used in France’s 1968. I used imagery of Paris on one side and images of capitalism, greed, Midas and Dubai on the other side linked at the bottom with matching soil horizons. Dubai resonated with this quote as a friend's son was digging sand on a beach there and hit concrete after a few inches!
